You chose the profession of police work, Officer Cook, most noble, humanely wise and because of your sure visions forty-seven years ago prosperity, harmony and stability may move move freely around the various venues of Dade County. Heroism,humbleness, trust and truth converging with one another to relay a communication of goodwill, hope and everlasting faithfulness to mankind's side. An angel decorated with fortitude and the blessings of resolve now being rewarded by Our Creator. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. These above mentioned capabilities help public servants dismantle evil much sooner than later.

Society these days seems a bit demoralized because of such proliferation of violence, torment and turmoil terrorizing us. Your tenacity, fairness and truthfulness, Officer Cook, was faithfully and heroically distributed in and around all points of interest here in Dade County. The hero in your heart and soul very treasured was about the reserve tanks of honesty, dignity and integrity never fleeing from your spirit during those times of battling such overcoming adversity. Heaven hols the light of your cherished soul, virtual being filled with joy and humility that sacredly placed down a measurement of mettle and morals within your community where serenity and security should rule. You are sure to remain a legend of heroism whose life and career consisted of consideration, concern, caring and the courage of a sacred heart conceived in liberty and born with honesty, integrity and integrity ascending your missions and journeys of faith and substance. A gentleman breathing bravery, boldness and glitz. Only fighting, battling and defending all Dade County with supreme skills, talents and all the God given honesty, integrity and dignity that a valid servant can muster. Your grace, charisma and charming smile, Officer Cook, were just pieces that fit well within the tunnels, streets and all locations within a community you stood for and preserved until your last ounce of energy, effort and proud life and career of consequences. All positive until that afternoon of May 16,1979, when you rose up to defend your fellow officers and the citizens who have not forgotten. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Gladeview was certain to be where your heroic soul gave its most humblest of sacrifices.

Never yielding nor conceding, your vigilant ways, Officer Cook, kept the flames of ferocity burning forever within the yards and homes of Dade County. Such a gentleman refined and resilient doing what you always wanted to do. Danger,strife and unrest did not ever derail nor deter your paths and trails all terribly, tragically and most sadly cut short because of one troubled and criminally warped man. Young like you, Officer Cook. A man who lived with three generations of his family and had a child to raise. No one wins. Sorrow, grief and anguish so spread out just a really sad situation for all the families, your peers and mankind in general.

I just read the story of a Washington ,DC Officer, Martin I. Donovan, age twenty-eight shot and killed in 1964 because his uniform "bugged" someone. Terrible sadness for his family and terrible heartache and enormous grief for your family,Officer Cook. A heroically honorable angel resting in peace under God's green soil of courage and humility. Dade County was certainly well guarded, received and protected by your skills and passions. Everyone got the very same kindness, integrity and the decency of your dignity right to their own heart. Yours, my neighbor, friend and hero was instrumental and fundamental in its exploits of energy, efficiency and tireless inertia. Never ever overlooked nor forgotten and righteously honored with salutes of homage for remaining humble and loyal to all challenges.
