The last couple of days have not been as humid, a little blustery. It's really the time of year when the temperatures are looking to change. Times sure have flown by very quickly, Officer Cook. But, heroism,honesty, dignity and integrity stands on the highest podiums of the Lord's heavens all saluted and notably remembered. For your badge and professional demeanor certainly fortified the uptake of Dade County folks. You place some balance, some semblance among a community chances are things will look brighter. Classic character, stellar commitment and sterling convictions all headed skyward if not for a troubled man who seemed out of sorts bent on violence and pure evil. It stopped your life and career of joy, happiness,peace and contentment, Officer Cook, but never did it or will it ever tarnish your blessed and revered name to be cherished forever. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Police can't be bought. But, they must market and sell their faithful honor, dutiful dignity and enforced integrity to the ones they serve and protect at all times. The people of Dade County could surely lifts their glasses high when you patrolled, Officer Cook. So heroic, truthfully trusted and insightful, resourceful at every corner. Forty-one years since your peers and family lost you while performing your duties but humility and sanctity never got sidetracked from your due diligence. But, at least the answers lie in a man or woman's vineyard of virtue, versatility and the capable vigilance due every citizen. So steeped in integrity, fortified with dignity and having a transparent character and commitments to achieving all goals and aspirations you set out to take command of. I think Officer Cook the phrase should have read that the man who decided to commit heinous, callous and wanton actions against you, your colleagues and Dade County got his ultimate punishment by being killed by one of your own in the end as your friend Detective Donald Blocker finally ended a day of calamity killing him and ending a terrible episode of fear he generated. You brought joy, happiness and all the trails of trust , honor and dignity to your beloved family and treasured department. Such fierceness and faithfulness that relied upon the very sources of your ingenuity,intuitive integrity and unrelenting dignity and heroic honor.
