When crime marches on then may we take liberties more freely. It seems to disrupt our society of the peace and harmony that we are asking for. Your mission, Officer Cook, was to preserve the integrity and dignity of all Dade County citizens while staying honorable. You don't need to be a prophet to be proficient. You cannot expect perfection every time, yet you do need consistency in performance of duties. Even robots make mistakes, if you make a mistake pray it does not cost a life. You did your jobs dependably and were the virtue of valor and humility. mankind and society were humbly honored by yourmorals, character and the dignity of your undying commitments to pride and excellence. At the high school prom men take ladies on that special date. When you met Karen, it was special too. The epitome of two loving persons combining as one. You shared a short marriage only because of the sacrifice you made protecting Dade County and its citizens. You kept your honor, integrity and dignity at the optimal level and never once strayed from those journeys where justice and firmness were needed to fight an adversary that can be as dominant as evil. The good people and you were the cream of the top law enforcement personnel here in Florida, Officer Cook, no doubt that chapter on ethics, humanity and its humility have been written and Our Creator has your adoring soul of wisdom and vision trolling above and keeping your eyes on those who now strive to serve with as much passion as you faithfully demonstrated. We pardon too many people at times in a society still churning in the vicious cycles of violence. Public servants try to steer around these pitfalls and yet at times hopelessness stes in. What happened when you patrolled Dade County, Officer Cook, was peace and a feeling of calmness that you tried your utmost to usher in. Serenity and security were calling and you answered a must troubling and perplexing call of a domestic incident between a man, troubled and violent and his girlfriend. Your composure and humble courage, honor, integrity and dignity assisted you in an all out attempt to regain peace and tranquility. Very tragic for your family and department a life , yours, Officer Cook, was taken senselessly in this heated situation. Ignorance cannot be put ahead of your routine. Violence is unforgiving and it takes the certain temper to go out and patrol looking for some sense of decency and good grace. Your shining soul, Officer Cook, was very blessed as it served the greatest purpose on behalf of Dade County. It protected and never provoked. I don't know why Mr. Pearsall was bent on destruction and ruining the lives of those sworn to defend our freedoms and liberties. It takes a certain acumen and awareness to carry out daily roles where stress and danger release their evil inclinations upon a society that looks for some sense of dignity. Your principles and dignity, Officer Cook, were top notch and nothing will ever tarnish the badge of boldness and distinction your heroically wore for six years of resilient commitment. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Humanity and humility meet and nothing but good vibrations must come from them. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. A warrior with the mentality of a very valiant public servant.
