Forgot, first Monday is Veteran's Day and we pay homage to those who served and protected us, your father, Charles, may he too rest in peace served diligently as did his cherished and most heroically darling son. To quash evil you must turn up the volume on tenacity. You must be in sync in common sense and in ingenuity for we understand the values of being fair, open and honest to fresh ideas. Your faithfulness and resolve, Officer Cook, came in the nick of time that day in Dade County, but than again so did your character, dignity and integrity everyday and that is why you have been and continue to be so honored for heroism and having the stellar humility to keep battling violence. Divinity and bravery are forever linked in this war over violence. Its atrocities leave communities such as Thousand Oaks, California reeling from a nightmare of horror. A police sergeant died while trying to save civilians the other night. Please Officer Cook, keep watch over Sgt. Helus and those valiant angels who like yourself served nobly with honor and pride. You patrolled Dade County and its corridors like a true hero, Officer Cook. Entrusted with many decisions, your quick response to that awful domestic incident on May 16, 1979, made you a hero forever.
