Rest in Peace my friend. Since hearing of your untimely passing yesterday my mind has been flooded with memories of you from our days at the BLET (Academy) to when you worked with Knightdale PD. and I was working in Wendell. May you always be remembered for your kindness, gentle spirit and for your bravery. As another classmate from the academy stated yesterday, “It wasn’t supposed to end this way.” We will never forget your sacrifice!

I didn't know Lavallee, but he will forever remain my brother-in-arms. After losing Officer Michael Horan, my U.S. Coast Guard shipmate, this is another hard blow.
Heroes serve, evil "dressed" as cowards, survive on our taxes.

Heavenly Father, God of Life and Death, You are with us from the moment we are conceived to the moment we leave this earthly life. Now, our hearts feel heavy with grief because of the loss of another American Peace Officer that leaves us feeling so alone once again. There are moments when the grief feels overwhelming, and we find it difficult to move forward. But we know You see our pain and feel our loss and sorrow. Lord God, hold us in Your loving and most capable arms and comfort us with Your presence. Let us feel Your peace in the midst of our heartache and Your quiet assurance that we are not walking this path alone. Wipe away our tears and remind us of the hope we have in You. You are our refuge and our strength, our ever present help in trouble. Teach us how to carry this loss of another American Peace Officer without losing hope. Help us to release our emotional pain into Your merciful and compassionate hands, trusting that You are working even in our most difficult moments. When our grief feels too much to bear, fill us with the courage necessary to face each day and the faith to keep moving forward. Thank You, Lord God, for Your unfailing love and for being the God who sees us, holds us, and walks with us as we endure the wickedness of evil humanity. Finally, O Lord, we place our trust and sorrow into Your loving and most capable hands and rest in the hope that You will bring “Beauty from the Ashes”. In Christ Jesus’ mighty and holy Name, and by His Authority and Sacrificial Blood, we pray. Amen.
God’s Mission for Law Enforcement:
“The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose.” (Romans 13:4 TLB)
Please find Comfort, Support, and Hope from the following Scripture Verses found in the GOD’S WORD Translation of the Holy Bible:
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom will I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8),
[Jesus taught]: “Blessed are those who make peace. They will be called God’s children.” (Matthew 5:9),
[Jesus taught]: “Blessed are those who mourn. They will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4),
[Jesus taught]: “The greatest love you can show is to give your life for your friends.” (John 15:13) and
“Jesus said to her [Martha], “I am the one who brings people back to life, and I am life itself. Those who believe in me will live even if they die.” (John 11:25).

Our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of this fine Officer. He will be missed by his community. He dedicated his life to serve and protect with gallantry . God have mercy on his soul. We ask God to hear our prayers and take him to his mansion, a place of peace and love where he will be in the company of the many that came before him and where they reside in the heart of God.
