This man was a protector at home and in the world. He was my heart, my best friend, my hero. He wore the badge with pride, honor, and courage, knowing the risks He gave everything, not just in how he died, but in how he lived…with integrity, compassion, and quiet strength that made everyone around him feel safe. He left behind not just a badge of legacy, but a family who loved him beyond words, his children who looked up to him, and a home filled with memories of his laughter, strength, dependability, and bravery. We are all so broken by this loss, but are also so proud. Proud of this man, our family rock. Our family is forever grateful to have had Bill in our lives. We all love and miss you so much!! I love you babe!!

My forever love

Will-I-am,
Simply put, you were the best of the best in every aspect of your life. An extraordinary officer, dedicated detective-SEB/AED—but even more than that, you were an incredible father, provider, teacher, protector, fixer, jokester, builder, and leader.
Your selflessness, humility, love and unwavering dependability left a mark on everyone who knew you. The impact you had on my life is immeasurable, and I’m scared of the void your absence has left—one that I don’t think will ever truly be filled.
But I promise, your legacy will carry on. In the stories we tell, the lessons you taught us, the way we treat others, the laughter you brought into our lives, and the love you poured into your family.
Mom and all of your children —including me—were so lucky to call you ours. I love you deeply, and I wish more than anything that you were still here. Thank you will never be enough for what sacrificed for your family and community.
Gone but never, ever forgotten
