Reflections for Police Officer Samuel Riveros
Rest in Peace Officer Riveros. My thoughts and prayers are with the Riveros family, the Baldwin Park Police Department. You touched the lives of many and truly made an impact in the community you served. You were an exemplary officer.

Officer Riveros was a truly special soul kind, funny, and full of heart. He had a gift with words and an even greater gift for making people feel seen and cared for. He was always eager to learn, always ready to help, and deeply dedicated to serving the community he loved so much.
He wasn’t just a familiar face in Baldwin Park, he was family, like the rest of our law enforcement officers. Whether connecting with residents at our local Starbucks or showing up for community events, he made his presence known in the most genuine and uplifting way. Our city loved him because he gave us every reason to. The overwhelming and outpouring of love and support in his memory is a testament to the kind of man and officer he was.
Baldwin Park was truly blessed to have him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. His legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the service he gave so selflessly.

I did not know officer Riveros personally, but I did not need to know him to understand how much of a sacrifice he made and how beloved he was by his community. The impression he left on others and the way they speak of him lets me know how much of a great officer he was. Rest in peace Riveros.

I didn’t have the honor of knowing Officer Samuel Riveros personally, but reading about his bravery and ultimate sacrifice shows the kind of character he had. He ran toward danger without hesitation to protect fellow officers and his community. That level of courage and selflessness is rare and deserves to be remembered. I remember and honor a fallen officer. He gave his life while protecting others. It reminds me that being a police officer is dangerous, but also very important. Officer Riveros showed bravery and dedication. Officer Riveros made the ultimate sacrifice, and his service will never be forgotten.

I did not know officer Riveros that long but in the time I got to know and work with Officer Riveros, his presence left a lasting impact on many lives, including my own. I felt like I knew him longer. His smile could light up any room, and his positive spirit uplifted those around him. His smile was contagious, I remember him calling the jail for court dates while he cited out in the in the field and then always asked how it was going in the jail, and if we needed anything. He brought us energy drinks, and we talked about how one was never enough for me but it’s what the jailers love to drink. You will be deeply missed by all and we will miss seeing you in the department.
