Although I never met you Larry, I read the "t.t." that was sent out to all the law enforcement agencies nationwide and wanted to leave a message to you and your family.

You see, we too just laid our friend, Officer Larry Cox to rest for the same senseless reason that your family must do the same. Some scumbag shot him in the neck also.

Our families at the Ross County Sheriffs Department and the Chillicothe Police Department send out prayers to both your immediate and extended family. All the brothers and sisters in "blue" are praying for both of your families.

Please look down on both of them and help them to make it through the next couple of months. They will really need your help.

Rest easy "brother" and let us take it from here.

All our prayers are with you.

ROSS COUNTY OHIO DEPUTY SHERIFF
CHILLICOTHE OHIO POLICE DEPARTMENT

Mrs. Lasater,

I am sorry for your loss. I know exactly what you are going thru. Even though right now the pain seems to much to handle just know that you will get so much strength from the beautiful gift that your husband left you with. Its amazing. My husband Isaac Espinoza was killed in the line of duty 4/10/04 we just had his one year anniversary. I can tell you that your family and friends are the best support to have during this nightmare that you are going thru. My prayers are with you and your family if you ever need to talk, cry or just scream please don't hesitate to contact me. God Bless You.

Please give your family the strength they will need to get through this. It is not fair that an officer had to lose their life in this way. It's just not right! It makes me angry that good people get taken away from this world.'

Thank you Officer Lasater for your continued and dedicated service to our community. You gave your life protecting loved ones, as well as those you will never know. Rest in peace, Larry.

We are all hurting because of this. God bless brave Officer Lasater for making the ultimate sacrifice. Unfortunately, I never knew Larry really well; which is too bad because he sounded like a wonderful man. I will continue for Larry's wife and family.

I had the honor to trian with Larry two weeks prior at a Basic SWAT School. He was a great guy, very easy to get along with. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to help you in anyway he could. He will be missed by many people. My prayers go out to his friends and most of all his family in this very hard time. Larry will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace brother.

You can tell just by looking at the picture that Larry was a proud Marine and a SWAT Officer. He served his country and city with selflish dedication and will always be remembered for that. What a huge loss for everyone, men like him are hard to find. Semper Fi
