I can't believe it's been 8 years. I remember everything that was said and done that morning but most of all I remember how you honored the oath you took to protect and serve and saved 8 lives that day. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you and the sacrifice you made. Thank you for your service to your country, the citizens of Columbus, Ohio and the employees of 5/3 bank. Gone but not forgotten
Love,
Angie

Brian - I took my son to watch Act of Valor recently at a theatre not to far from bank. He is 8 years old now and not much older than your baby. I've never really talked to him about what happened to us back on that horrible day becuase I've never known how you tell a child how important a man like you is to a world like this or why you had to do what you did. I made it through most of the movie and I got to the end where I just sat there and cried for a good twenty minutes holding my little boy and telling him what kind of man you were and how you saved his daddy just like the men in the film who were portraying you saved all those people. After that I took him to where you perfomed your final act of bravery and told him how a real hero llived and how important it is to live a life worth something and how he has someone to live up to in this life just like you. Rest in peace friend and I look forward to the day I can thank you face to face after this world fades.

On this day, seven years ago, Bryan lost his life defending mine and several others. I will never be able to put into words how grateful I am to Bryan or how sorrowful I am that he lost his life defending us. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about it and wish that things could have been different.
While I am forever changed by this I will always remember Bryan and all the officers who put their lives on the line every day, even when the risk is not apparent, to defend us.
Thank you Bryan – I will always be grateful!
