Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Jason Michael Scott
Jason,
It has been a year. We were blessed to see Jayden, today, at your memorial service. She is a beautiful baby girl and you can't look at her without seeing you in her eyes. You will never be forgotten.

I never knew you, Jason, but as the news of your tragity was playing on the TV, my daughter looked at the picture and said "That lookes like you daddy". It broke my heart hearing that and knowing that you were expecting a little girl soon. From what I have read on here I know that we will meet one day in Heaven. I will be praying for your family and God will take care of them. Rest in peace brother.

Condolences to the family of deputy Scott. Jason was a good officer and a better person. Jason always had time to talk to someone and hardly had a negative word about anyone. He left this world doing something that he loved to do. He will never be forgotten.

Deputy Scott,
From reading the other entries here, it is evident that you were a well liked officer and that you "enjoyed" your job. That is an admirable trait. Just know that you've got alot of brother deputies that will continue to serve and protect, the way you did. Godspeed.

With tomorrow being Jason's birthday I had to read the reflections again, and just remember how much my brother is still touching everyone. He was a great person and took the gifts God gave him and nourished them, he loved everyone in his life and they knew it. He was a great Chrisitian and nobody could met him without him trying to get them to laugh. I know he would want his family to remember his fellow officers in their prayers and to continue to tell all of his funny things he did.
May God be with his fellow officers:

I often return to read Jason's memorial and refelections. My son was born a week after Jason's Daughter was born. I remember the great anticipation of being a first time dad. All of the things that lead up to that amazing day. Until I read about Jason's death I never imagined not being there for that day. The day my son was born I thought about Jason, his wife and his daughter. I thank god for every minute with my son. It is an unimaginable sacrafice that Jason made for his community. I know Jason's daughter will someday understand what a great hero her daddy is. Jason you have been an inspiration to me. Thank You.

I visit this page often and try to learn from the stories. But this one is so different from all the others, because this could have been any one of us. Thank you to the family for your sacrifice, I know it is hard still, but sleep at night knowing there is a sea of blue with you. The reflections is what touched me so. I read them and feel that I knew the man behind the badge. It is apparent to me that he was thought very highly by the community and his fellow officers. I only hope that I can be half the inspiration that Jason was, and still is.. Rest easy my Brother we will take it from here.
God bless

Dear Jason,
you are one of the main reasons I picked Law Enforcement for a profession. Every time I saw you, you were so excited to be out there helping people. The last time I spoke with you I was visiting my mom at the Justice Center and as we turned a corner we met you. We talked for a minute and mom told you that I was about to start the FTO program for Loudon City. Your eyes got so big and you said, "Don't do it"! I could see your love for the job right through the sarcasm though. My mom loved you to death. I think everyone that knew you loved you. You are truly missed and your family is in our prayers. Untill we meet in heaven...

Jason was a great man, father and officer. I didn't have much time to know Jason, but what time I did have showed me that he deserved the respect that was given to him by all other officers. God bless you Jason and may God look over your family.

Yet another death of a true freedom fighter. In my eyes Deputy Scott gave his life for the safety and freedom of the United States and not just for the state of Tennessee. Thank you Deputy Scott for your commitment and courage.
