Your respect and language, Officer Cook, was of the highest standards and precisely why you have been paid honor and homage for sacrificing over forty years ago for determination, truth and trust to judiciously carry on. Dade County owes you a debt of gratefulness, Officer Cook, which may never be repaid to a man, a gentleman whose life and heart was of proper integrity and the stellar character which is required and expected from all duly sworn public servants who race right into the thorns of terror and danger. You endeavored to reach out and stop a man from causing bodily injury to yourself, your colleagues and most importantly to the people whom you devotedly served. Our harmony, unity and liberty came as a direct result of your undying and unending efforts to settle a difficult event before it grew into a more chaotic set of circumstances which tragically took your life, Officer Cook, in the performance of your professional duties and responsibilities. Your life, Mr. Pearsall was a tragedy for you killed a good solid man of honor and integrity in Officer Cook and nearly killed his colleagues that awfully somber afternoon.
