A man who is devoted and honors his father and mother should be blessed with a long life. Police work does not though offer any guarantees. Even to the most serious of souls with a heroically sacred heart and humble calling. It's sad and appalling, Officer Cook, that violence took you at age twenty-five, a young man whose trails had more to blaze. Dade County was granted your vital and humble character in providing excellence in all you accomplished and you certainly succeeded beyond any shadow of doubt. You fought for your life and that of the civilians that you undertook a bond of valor to defend. Their tranquility and happiness all harnessed on your broadest of shoulders. To weather the burdens, to unlock the codes of contentment, surely never easy and you'll be sacredly etched into your family and comrades' hearts and thought forever.
