Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook
The profession evolves and yet one's willingness to adopt to change must be more than routinely considered. Facts are just that. You were one worthy gentleman, Officer Cook, whose honor, bravery and enduring heart of integrity and dignity fought those battles where adversity looked to steer its teeth of treachery into the very region of Dade County. So much left undone and yet you completed your earthliest of missions with everlasting faith, hope and goodwill attached to your kites of consideration, care and concern for mankind to pursue its peace and happiness. You were taken from that and never will be forgotten. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

A jammed finger in a door hurts very much. One evil man discharging a firearm at police taken a life of one man, such a beautiful and a precious soul, so appreciative and grateful to serve his community. You really were a nice man and a warm and wonderful human being concerned for the stability, harmony, health and welfare of Dade County's flock of people. What can be stated so profoundly when a public servant has his dignity, integrity and honesty ripped right out of his heart by a very wanton and angry individual. All we can say is he got his punishment and humility, sanctity and accountability has been surely blessed and eternally rewarded for performing outstandingly. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Ferocity that fired its energy, heart and muscle at anything sinister enough to disrupt the quiet and serene flow of movement for all citizens of Dade County. Officer Cook, to look back and to recognize your trustworthiness, righteousness and resourcefulness really only skims the surface like glancing at the pages of a large book with its many chapters of bravery and honesty, integrity and dignity all perpetual and all persevering. A man rotten to the very core senselessly taking your life away from you and robbing your loved ones, peers and friends from ever seeing such a beautiful smile, so engaging and so reserved. sacred and so eager to make your parents proud, well they were my neighbor, friend and hero. Heaven has a hero and a proven angel so thoughtful and full of grit and gumption.

To Chief Geoffrey Jacobs and to Officers Jeffrey Jackson and Francisco"Frank" Piloto, I want to wish you and your families a Happy New Year and a very healthy and hearty merry Christmas. You all worked alongside of your dear and very heroic comrade, Officer William Cook, Badge#1664. A man of honored tenacity who was sadly taken by an evil man more than four decades ago. He is always in my heart and my family's as I got a letter from his beloved mother, Mrs. Julia Cook, may she rest in peace. I wrote to her and received a letter back just after she turned ninety-five. She passed last March 7,2019 at the tender age of hundred and three years old. Dade County was protected by a most proud and dignified man, her darling son was a gentleman whose gallantry just began to touch the surface of his roles. He was unwavering and a most resourceful public servant whose trust, truth and humility has been surely blessed, cherished and humanely rewarded. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. You were all about reverence, respect and the ethical principles bounded by the boldness of scruples and a capsule of courage. The community is forever deeply indebted to him for his faithful work and resolute vigilance.
