Passion at times must be harnessed. Honesty and dignity must be focused and centered upon those duties that will uplift integrity, character and truth. You always had the trust of Dade County, Officer Cook, just a man so heroic and disciplined. A man of harmony and stability keeping his oars of outstanding work with him day after day. The wars and battles are difficult and arduous at times, you maintained a calming affect during periods where heightened escalation of violence happened.We owe our liberty and stability to a gentleman with heart and soul attached to wisdom and virtue. A parade is supposed to be enjoyed and should enlighten your peace and happiness. Dade County was where your heart, soul and spirit of ventures took place, Officer Cook. Yet firefights and whatever disturbances took place all threatened our hopes, dreams and serene prosperity. You were proud, noble, honorable and loyal to your fellow officers who have missed their comrade and friend of dignity, integrity and the eyes of character and valor. You received mankind with a smile and humble embrace, forty-three years since your life and career ended too soon you are still and forevermore greatfully admired and remain a man to be passionately saluted for your precise perseverance. Thank God for your family though I wish I could stay in better contact with them they exude faithfulness, humility and the honor of taking your legacy in their hearts and souls.

The dog days of summer have arrived, Officer Cook, but then again sadly crime and its waves of monsterous trouble have heated up. In Philadelphia, two officers were shot but should survive, outside Chicago in Highland Park six people were killed by a madman and in Akron, Ohio a young man was killed by police shot around sixty times. I don't know what make of this other that insanity and evil continue eroding society's cornerstones chipping away at its sound foundations. Dade County had its share of messes you and your esteemed, heroic and loyal comrades had to clean up dealing with domestic and any issues that were squarely placed on your plates of perseverance, proficiency and where dignity, character, trust,truth and integrity all belonged. You won't be forgotten my neighbor, friend and hero. What your lost that day cannot be returned to you, your family and to Karen. Your department marches onward with your inspiration, hopes and faithful goodwill attached to their uniforms and badges of heart and soul instrumentally patrolling your beloved neighborhood. I was driving home today from a catholic community where I visit its Jewish residents, Officer Cook and was thinking about you. Such a gentleman of honor, faith, heart and heroism making the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of Dade County. So much more to do and to accomplish, the Lord needed your keen observations, dignity and integral character surrounding Him and His humble flock of heroes and heroines. Your family has carried on their life journeys with your spirit and unwavering unselfishness tied to their every step.
