The handkerchiefs were wiping away many a tear shed for your sweet and special heart and heroically inclined soul of vision, virtue and wisdom, Officer Cook that Saturday of May 19, 1979 at the cathedral, Dade County and your family had to mourn your loss that shook the nests of your never ending and relentless trails of trust, truth and tenacity. Your colleagues who shared the good times and the most arduous of situations were left numbed and stunned by how your life of decency, dignity and fertile integrity all came to a tragic and sudden end. There was more left on the horizon to accomplish where did things go so terrible? A young man engrained in the process who embraced mankind with a humane smile and all the tools, gifts and skillsof a veteran professional. For them serenity, safety and security the price you paid, the character, intuition and commitments of pride and excellence were sacrificed to bind us together inunity and in strength. An individual who utilized the full panels of perseverance, precision and proficiency to help you battle adversity that can strike like a cobra. Integrity, honesty and dignity that stood face to face with evil and on May 16, 1979 that example was followed as you performed your duties with everything in virtue,valor and wisdom's name. Your blessed and humble name shall continue receiving their humble rewards from Our Master who allowed to to see trust and truth until He called you home to walk your heavenly assignments as His angel. I looked up two men on facebook one is Officer Keith DiGenova and the other is a man named Joseph Dearing. Still looking forward to meeting him, Officer Cook. You are missed beyond words and were a lifesaver to the residents of Dade County. All heroic, all honor and dignity and forever a wonderful gentleman of integrity and virtue. Cannot stop thinking of you I saw the facebook picture of you, Officer Cook, that big old smile, a man surely humble and proud to wear the brown uniform representing your department. When you bring character,commitment and conviction all true and trusted to work everyday you face whatever adversity is on the very streets where you gave yourlife over forty-three years ago you really sacrificed wisdom, maturity and goodwill. The hope, tireless effort and unwavering faithfulness all unselfish and all unrelenting to be saluted for generations to come this is your legacy, a building block founded in tenacity and continues yielding fruits of those who have taken your watch. The more I talk with your friend and former partner, Officer Keith DiGenova and for what he suffered all these decades later surviving a serious brain injury makes me think of you, Officer Cook. You searched within society for a cascade of hope and harmony. You made mettle and morals so meaningful on behalf of mankind. Humanity was truly humbled by your extra ordained heroism that shall be saluted and remembered for eternity as its dignity, character and class of integrity extracted every last ounce of energy to provide that unique spark of wisdom and virtue to the people of Dade County. Your dreams were somewhat dashed because of Mr.Pearsall yet the realization remains a most vivid reminder to try and stay safe even when exercising humility and heart with a soul so gentle and transparent. May Our Creator watch over you, Officer Cook, as you rest in peace my neighbor,friend and hero. You gave the ultimate sacrifice not to be shelved, overlooked nor forgotten.
