God Bless Deputy W. Mays’ soul and his family. His sacrifice will never be forgotten. Deputy W. May was a great Man, Father, Husband and Deputy Sheriff. Even while bleeding out, shot multiple times, Deputy W. May was able to fight back, remain composed under immense pressure and returned fire, eliminating the threat, without leaving any probable chance of survival. William May is a hero in every definition of the book.

Such a senseless act to aDeputy that was just trying to help. I regret that I never met Deputy May and tell him how much I appreciated his call to stand between us and danger. Lord, walk with His Wife, Children, Mother and Father, Family, Fellow Officers, and Friends during these days to come. This Blue Line...It's very thin; but this Hero chose to walk it and answer His calling. I'm forever Grateful. God Bless You All!!!
