Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and blue family members. My husband is a retired Nypd Officer we are currently living in Florida. Our eldest child is pursuing a career in law enforcement.
We know the feeling of their loss as we lost many friends and colleagues during the nine eleven attack, ten years after that living in New York.
May St Michael hold this amazing man in his arms and protect his family for now on.
I am happy that he was able to return fire and notified his colleagues on what was happening.

Deputy May, a police officer, should be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived! A brave man has left to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you for your 6 years of commitment to law enforcement, your family, and the Walton County Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace, Brother!

Such a senseless act to aDeputy that was just trying to help. I regret that I never met Deputy May and tell him how much I appreciated his call to stand between us and danger. Lord, walk with His Wife, Children, Mother and Father, Family, Fellow Officers, and Friends during these days to come. This Blue Line...It's very thin; but this Hero chose to walk it and answer His calling. I'm forever Grateful. God Bless You All!!!
