As a physician I thought I dealt with life threatening situations but those that LEOs face daily subjects them to unimaginable trauma.
She was ambushed & there's little she could've done, unfortunately.
Society has to decide what level of violence they're willing to live with.
The Police do a much more difficult & better job than I at the hospital.
Best Regards

She applied for SPD the instant she could at the minimum age of 21, and volunteered for them while she couldn't. Officer Corona dedicated her life to the service of others, and would have gone on to serve many more people had her life been not cut short.
Thank you for service, and may you rest in peace.
