Reflections for Police Officer Natalie Becky Corona
I cried that day. I didn’t know you but I thought of my daughter being where you were. I cried like I lost my daughter. We went and put balloons at the sept and at the memorial site. We tied bows on the fence behind the flag that was there. My daughter was with Sacramento police Dept magnet academy at Kennedy high Sacramento. she was blessed to be apart of your funeral. When I pulled up to the wrong parking with officers I said where does public park and explained my daughter was in that program. They instantly said you are family. My heart melted. I got to actually have a seat to go watch the entire funeral. I am glad she got to experience this. Then I drove to the over pass where you passed by. It as very touching and experience. My daughter still is taking classes in college. What ever she wants I support her. I pray for your family. Thanks

I could tell you were exceptional by the photo you had taken with the Thin Blue Line flag, as I read an article about you and how wanted to build some pride in the ranks by displaying the flag of the Thin Blue Line. The critics were claiming the flag was racist, but you were steadfast and strong and pushed back with dignity and grace. That's how I first learned about you, when you were alive and representing our profession with courage, grit and beauty. Now, I can tell I was right about your exceptionality by the fact you VOLUNTEERED part-time as a CSO before become a LEO. And you followed in your father's steps. Who does that but a true-hearted warrior for peace and justice? Nothing is stronger than the heart of a volunteer. Rest in peace, my hero, as you now walk in your other Father's steps.

Thank you is such an inadequate staement at this time. Although I did not know you personally, Im sure there is a hole in the hearts of your loved ones and those who served along side of you that can never be filled. God Bless Officer Corona. Go and walk your post with the Lord.

Officer Corona, being a young cop myself, hearing news of your passing hit me hard. It truly put in perspective the dangers I would be undertaking in this profession. Everyday I work, I do so with a renewed sense of cautious determination hoping I can uphold the courageous example set by you and all other fallen officers. Rest in peace Officer Corona. You will not be forgotten.

My heart just breaks reading this! What a beautiful girl so brave to go into this profession to do the right thing and want to serve and protect so admirable and to have her life cut so senselessly short is so tragic. My prayers for her family

It is saddening to learn that such a young, beautiful soul, would lose her life in the service of strangers. The Lord needs amazing Angel's, just as Natalie to maintain order and help those in need. The world too small a place, she's gone on to bigger things, in service of our Lord & Savior. RIP, Nat, see you in the other side.

There was a demonstration down the block from me in New York City yesterday to defund the Police, to incite against the police; to hate the police. We forget the sacrifices that they make to keep us safe and free. We don't even know their names. We should be ashamed. I will try to remember Natalie's name to honor her and her family. Her loss must be beyond words or consolation. I will not even try.

Natalie,
I had the honor of knowing you for many years. Even in high school I knew you were special, I cannot think of another person I have ever encountered that was more kind and generous of heart, you were a beautiful soul. I watched you grace our school, helped to crown you homecoming queen and was jealous of your basketball skills. You made the world a better place every day and you will never ever be replaced or forgotten. I go to Pierce games now, the gym renamed in your honor. I cannot think of another person that could represent the Bears better than you. You presence is still there and will always be!

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Natalie was killed in the line of duty.
To the Corona family, fellow officers, and all who call Natalie beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support. I know that that you will continue to receive that same kind of support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.
I was privileged to attend Natalie's funeral which was held in the same campus building that my son Larry graduated from years ago. My grandson, born 2 1/2 months after his dad was killed, also attended the services, and it was his first police funeral. I cannot think of a more fitting person than Natalie for him to have honored.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Natalie gave to her community and the citizens of California and for the supreme sacrifice she and her family made on January 10, 2019.
