Officer Guindon,

Last night and again today I cried for you and your family. I, along with dozens of my fellow Fairfax County police officers, had the honor of lining Gallows Road at the hospital as you left the hospital. It is something I will never forget.

You are a true hero. Your devotion to duty, your compassion, and your service to the country and the commonwealth set you apart from the common citizen. Your name is not one I will ever forget.

Your family and fellow PWC officers will be in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

Sincerely,
-Chris Cosgriff

Domestic disputes can be scary, emotions are running high and everyone is tense. Things can happen between people that aren't always nice, but why they have to escalate to this level, is a very sad thing we can only deal with.

Officer Guindon, your dedication, ability and compassion were never fully realized and the people of Prince William County have lost out.

Those who know and love you best have lost more than anyone and they are in my prayers.

According to the news in the Boston area, you were from here originally. We have all lost you in one way or another and we are all grieving.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Sister.

The tears keep coming. Your dream of being a cop and making a difference ended before it even had a chance to start. I remember my first day and thought it really is happening. Your face is now ingrained in my brain and heart never to be forgotten. If your family gets to read these pages some where down the road I hope they take comfort knowing how many people really do care. Your dream was short lived but your memory will live forever. RIP dear sister and know you made a difference in this world which is why you became a cop in the first place.

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.
