These two officers dedicated their lives to our safety, but they were senselessly and brutally murdered by a coward. They will not be forgotten, as they were among the best of our countrymen. Those who do evil will not prevail, for others will fill the ranks and still more will honor the memory of Officers Ramos and Liu.

May God bless Officer Ramos's wife, children, family and friends. It's a sad day when a brother in blue is struck down while shielding his community from evil. I'm praying for all my brothers and sisters of the NYPD during this trying time. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9. The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, but the righteous are bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1
