Reflections for Police Officer Michael Daniel Crain
God grant eternal rest and peace to his soul and to his family and friends who are grief stricken.
I am only guessing, i do not know, but wonder if at 34, he not only leaves behind a young family, his wife and children, but also parents who are grieving the loss of their son. Siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, close friends. My heart breaks with all of them. I lost my 32 year old nephew last May - a parole and probation officer for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. He too was "ambushed" - beaten and shot to death. Such loss is devastating to so many. God bless you all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Crain's family, co-workers and friends. This is just horrible and its sad to see another family go through what our family and so many other law enforcement families have gone through. My God be with the entire family and loved one's of this officer.

It was a confrontation between good and evil. Officer Crain not only protected our community and its citizens, but was passing on his knowledge and skills to others to do the same.
He was murdered by a coward, who took the lives of innocent people, a man who should never been a police officer and only thought about himself.
Officer Crain was hero who gave his life in the protection of others, the most selfless of acts.
God Bless you and your family

A PART OF AMERICA DIED....
Somebody killed a policeman today .... And a part of America died…. A piece of our country he swore to protect .... Will be buried with him at his side.... The beat that he walked was a battlefield too,.... Just as if he had gone off to war, .... Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half-mast .... To his name they will add a gold star.... The suspect that shot him will stand up in court .... With counsel demanding his rights,.... While a young widowed mother must work for her kids .... And spend many long, lonely nights... .. Yes, somebody killed a policeman today…. Maybe in your town or mine,.... While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors.... A cop put his life on the line.... Now his ghost walks the beat on a dark city street, .... And he stands at each new rookie's side; .... He answered the call… of himself gave his all,.... And a part of America died.
