David,
We celebrated Brady's birthday yesterday. We missed you so much, but we know that you were there with us. We kept waiting to see you in the tree! Saturday was so hard. How awesome it was to see so many people lining the streets in the pouring rain to pay their respects to you. It is not only difficult to watch Dody and your family during this difficult time, but it is hard to look into the faces of your fellow officers from NYCRP. They were so blessed to have you as a brother officer! And I just wanted to thank you for being in that endzone Saturday night! That was all you, buddy!
Miss you...

Weed,

As I sit here the morning after your services reflecting on our relationship, the gravity of your passing is finally hitting home. So many memories. I will never forget your stubborness and your devotion to both the Department and your family. Your humility that allowed you to embrace the nickname "Weed" even though you knew that it was based on your uncanny resemblence to the cartoon character Tumbleweed. This nickname grew with you and transformed with you. You became like a pesky lawn 'weed' continuing to grow and flourish no matter what was thrown at you. No matter what the task, you put your heart and soul into the situation. You were a pleasure to supervise and an even bigger pleasure to have as a friend. I will miss you. Rest peacefully knowing that your fellow officers will be looking out for Dodi and the kids. You should be very proud of them. They have shown remarkable resolve and perserverance during this time.

As was stated in the services and many times on this site;

Rest in peace brother, we'll take it from here.

Whip

P.S. I know you were watching the Penn State game last night, thanks for whatever influence you had on that Ohio State fumble.
