Officer Miktarian,

today when I checked ODMP.org as I have everyday since starting the Academy I was very shocked to see an officer from Twinsburg had been killed. I was even more shocked to read about how it happened and very saddened by your young age and that of your daughter. I'm sorry you will not be afforded the privilege of holding your daughter in your arms, comforting her after she falls off of her bike for the first time. I'm sorry you won't be able to watch her from the end of your driveway as she gets on the bus for her first day of school. I'm sorry you won't be able to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. I'm sorry your wife is now left to raise your daughter without you. I'm sorry you can no longer comfort her after a long day at her Department.

But I'm also thankful. I'm thankful that you were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to make this world a better place for your daughter and the rest of your loved ones.

Thank you Officer Miktarian for all you did and all you gave. Your family is in my prayers.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the wife, daughter, and family of Officer Miktarian...the circumstances are similar to those of my brother Rodney Pocceschi who also was 33 years old and was killed during a traffic stop 6/23/03. My heart goes out to all of them; I know exactly what they are feeling and their sadness and trauma. I still remember it like it was yesterday.

I pray that God will be with the family and that they will seek God to help them with their trauma and sadness.

Our officers are risking far too much, something more needs to be done to ensure their safety.

Brother Josh you have ascended into the ranks of Gods Police Dept in heaven and have joined with all our heroic brothers and sisters who have gone before you. You are already missed here by your family and your comrads in Ohio. We know you didn't ask for this new assignment but rest assured your family will be cared for by your brothers and sisters left behind. You will not be forgotten and your honor, your dedication and your integrity will serve as pillars of strength for all that follow into law enforcement. know too that your new assignement will have no more encounters with negative people but is filled with peace and joy from God.
