We are getting ready to go to the National Peace Officer's Memorial Service in Washington D.C. We are going to honor a friend who was murdered. While we know the pain of losing someone, we also know the honor and respect that comes with sacrificing your life for others. Your service will never be forgotten. May your family, friends, and co-workers find peace.

I would like to offer my condolences to the detective's family and the BCPD. I am a dispatcher for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office in Florence, Arizona. We lost one of our own on duty on May 4, 2001. It is very difficult to lose a part of your family. My heart goes out to all of you, including the dispatcher(s) that had to sit through the tragedy. My thoughts are with you.
