I knew Michael as a public employee in the jurisdiction he served. He was a great cop, a good guy and served the La Puente community with respect and pride in keeping with the tenets of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

He is missed tremendously by his family, friends and fellow deputies.

Another anniversary is almost upon us. 7 years..I can't believe it. You are thought about often. The Red Sox had a slow start, but..of course, I had no doubts they would come through right to number 1. Also, the Bruins are going to the Stanley Cup! You keep routing for them up there perhaps they will both be winners this year.

I saw your dad recently and was able to see the portrait of you on his arm. Its amazing!! It came out perfectly. Looks exactly like you. What a wonderful tribute a father could pay to his son.

Today is a day for us to reflect on what a great classmate, partner, friend and loved one you were. You meant the world to those people and are still sorely missed. It still makes us sad to this day.
