Rest easy hero your watch is here is sadly over.  May God give your wife and children as well as your fellow officers the strength necessary to get through such a sad and tragic time.  Your kids will always remember you as a warrior and a hero in blue as we will, your fellow Police Officers here in New York state.

He was an excellent officer who talked about his love for his family when we worked cases together, his absence hurts us all deeply. My thoughts and prayers go out for Dave's Family and Garfield County. God speed Dave, I'll miss you.
