The road to greiving is long and unwritten. No one can tell you what is the right way or the wrong way to express the so many emotions that you are feeling. Do what feels right in your heart and no one can lay blame. Your Kenneth may be gone from patrolling the streets of earth, but he is with our James and they are patrolling the golden streets of heaven.

To the family, friends and co-workers of Corporal Johnson my heart goes out to you. South Carolina will mourn the loss of this truly remarkable trooper. My fiance' Joseph C. Rodgers was killed in South Carolina in 97, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol has been so supportive. They didn't care that Joey was a deputy when he was killed. They were still there for me because is was a law enforcement officer. I think this says alot about an agency who doesn't care what department you are with, they just care about taking care of their loved ones left behind. They South Carolina Highway Patrol is such a wonderful agency and they have taken the initiative to prepare themselves for these tragedies. They will be there for the family and co-workers of Corporal Johnson just as they were there for me. Rest in peace Corporal Johnson you will never be forgotten.
