My heart goes out to all fallen police officers. Its a shame that they are targeted and are trying to save lives. With what going on in the world of the US now is that there are so many young black males being murdered by police officers. I wish that there was a solution to this problem before it gets worst. Please screen all police officers with mental evaluations to see if they are prejudiced, love to hunt humans, for killing etc Thank you so much

Deputy March,

I am in Class 406 in the LASD academy right now doing research on fallen officers for our Colors Run. Having been an Explorer at Temple for five years, your name was the first that came to mind.

I still remember where your locker was at in the Temple locker room, and the day they removed it and put it on display in the briefing room. I never got the pleasure of meeting you as you were taken from us a few years before I served at Temple, but from the stories i've heard about you, you sound like an outstanding Deputy and man. You are an inspiration to me and a hero to Class 406. You will never be forgotten.

Dave,
You have left us but you are not forgotten! I often wonder what it would be like to have you here today. I miss your friendship and the passion we shared for the Trojans! I miss the times we shared and know that you still have that smile we all remember. I will never let your sacrifice be forgotten and until we meet again, Fight On!

My name is David Ross. I first heard of Dave March through a close friend of mine who went through the Academy with Deputy March. His name is Deputy Kozilchik. After hearing the story of Deputy March and his death, I was deeply moved because of the impact I knew it had on my friend and the impact it has on all the men & women, and their families, who are in service to protect us all.

About 9 yrs ago, I was driving back home from a day of hunting.
It was late in the evening, about 9 pm. I pulled into a restaurant to get something to eat. As I walked into the lobby I was met by a woman who was crying. It was Deputy March's wife! She had seen the EOW sticker in the window of my truck as I pulled in the lot. She said it meant so much to her because at times it can feel like everyone has forgotten. We talked for a while and I met her daughter and her new husband. We had never met before and it was an honor for me to meet her and her family!! I tell that story because it meant so much to me and because I want each family of a fallen Deputy or officer to know, we haven't forgotten!!!

We will never forget!!! To all those who are affected by these tragic events, especially the families, I thank you for your sacrifice! I honor you and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and I promise to never forget!!

My name is Ariela Lemus and I am currently a recruit from LASD class #403. Unfortunately I did not get to know Deputy March but when I noticed that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's creed was written by him , I was automatically inspired by him and I really admire him. I live by those words, "Mt goals are simple, I will always be painfully honest, work as hard as I can, learn as much as I can, and hopefully make a difference in people's lives."

I just read the article on Facebook from the Sheriff's Department museum....what a long road you have traveled Teri.

Your husband's death was not in vain as you have helped so much to change the laws to make a difference in the lives of other survivors of senseless deaths in law enforcement or the private sector.

God bless the continued memory of your husband and you and your family....

Dear Deputy March's wife. I met you in Chili's restaurant after you saw my truck with an EOW 57 sticker on the back window as I was parking. I met your daughter also. What an honor for me. There are so many families who have paid and are paying the ultimate price so that our families can live in safety and comfort.
I thank you! I honor you! I will never forget! I will continue to teach my children and all those around me of the sacrifice that is being made, each day, by all the officers who serve us every day! We Love you!!!

I did not know you personally but I remember that day well. I will always remember s statement you made. You may never know just how much impact you had but remembering those words has made me a better Volunteer. Thank you for your dedication to your job and the citizens you protected.

WOW, 10 years!!! Thank you Dave, for demonstrating love and sharing your faith with me often. I have peace that you reside in the Eternal Kingdom of Heaven. I now share the same faith, and know I will one day be with you again. I now have a personal relationship with Christ. Thank you for loving us, and loving your job. You rocked my world. I miss you always, and for all the sweet ways you made a finger print on so many things. Thank you for giving me a life time of joy. I will always love you. Your quote will be with me forever, "My goals are simple, I will be painfully honest, work as hard as I can, learn as much as I can, and hopefully make a difference in people's lives." (Written 9 days before he was killed) You did make a BIG difference, and thank you for leaving us these words to live by. xoxo
