Reflections for Police Officer Vincent Guidice
Dearest Vinny,
Almost everyday I pass you by as I go through the same doors that we entered as we began our journey as P.P.O's at the 46 pct. Everyday I say hello and goodbye to you, missing
you immensely. We met while in the same academy class 92-46 and went to the same Pct (46 Pct) to begin our journey in the job that I know we both love. We became each other's 1st. partner on the 4x12 and had great fun learning the "JoB' together. I remember that you were so quiet during the academy that once the instructor, stated " WHO ARE YOU, SINCE WHEN HAVE YOU BEEN IN THIS CLASS"? Vinny, I miss you and no one will ever take your place as the Best partner ever.
I Love you Vinny. May God have you in his embrace and I know that you are a Saint, because you were one here on earth.xoxoxo

Officer Guidice,
On today, the 9th anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of New York City. It's too bad that the jury in this case couldn't do their duty.

May he rest in peace. Don't let his memory be forgoten. Remember his family and look out for them as if they were your own. Be safe. Back eachother up. Wear your vest. Most of all remember your mission each day is to return home to your loved ones. The city will be there tomorrow. Hopefully safer with all the efforts of the men in BLUE.

VINCE,
HOW I REMEMBER YOU SITTING IN FRONT OF ME IN CLASS WHEN WE WENT THROUGH THE POLICE ACADEMY TOGETHER. YOU ALWAYS HAD A GREAT BIG SMILE AND NEVER A BAD THING TO SAY ABOUT ANYONE. OUR ACADEMY PICTURE HANGS ON MY WALL AND FROM TIME TO TIME I LOOK AT EVERYONE (especially you standing between us only one other officer) AND I THINK BACK TO THE GREAT MEMORIES OF YOU AND OUR LAUGHS TOGETHER. ALTHOUGH, NOW GONE AND TAKEN FROM US, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND ALWAYS LOOK OVER US.

As a former MOS, I recall going to similar disputes. People should recognize that while they are enjoying their lives, sleeping through the night, men and women are putting their lives on the line everywhere in the city. Officer Guidice was one of those men.
May the memory of your service, heroism and sacrifice remain forever. May God bless you, your family and brother/sister officers in NYPD.
