Your heroism and service is honored today, the 89th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. How ironic and terribly sad that your grandson was later killed in the line of duty very near to where you were slain.
Rest In Peace.

I just saw the Richard Lathan story on the television show FBI Files. I grew curious and went on-line for more info. This is a remarkable story and I wish more people could hear it. This is what being an American lawman is about;Protecting and Serving. This is one great American family.
