Reflections for Patrolman Thomas Alonzo Nicholson
To my great grandfather. Thomas A. Nicholson .I look back through the passage of time and I see you . And though we never met , I know you. You are that part of me that you never knew. A link through time . Thank you for the man you were and the inspiration you continue to be to your great grand children and my grand children. Your sacrifice has not gone unvalidated. You would be proud of the legacy you started by choosing to stand in the gap between good and evil on that Easter Sunday .

It was 90 years ago today you watch ended.
I hate that my grandfather lost you at such a young age. He lived on though. He had a long life. I am sure that you were waiting to give him a big hug when he went home.
I thank you for my granddad that I did get to know. Thank you for your service. I look forward to meeting you one day.
Thank you for your service. You are not forgotten.
