Dad,
Every time we read of another officer down, it breaks our hearts; Ohio has lost another one already in this new year. You might have already met Bryan Hurst.
Sometimes we wonder how our lives would have been different if you'd been able to stick around.
We hope that we are fulfilling the hopes and dreams you had for your family.
We love you daddy, and know we'll see you again someday.

Each day I try to read the ODMP. Today I read your story. No officer who gives his/her life for us need ever be forgotton. You died a hero; rest in peace.
