Reflections for Agent Louis A. Pompei
Louie was a very enthusastic and friendly person. He would greet you with a firm handshake and a smile. In the 7 years he was with our agency he distinguished himself as an excellent officer. The morning I was notifed at home that Louie had been fatally injured in a robbery was like a nightmare. In the six years since he was killed his memory lives on in all of us. He will never be forgotten. The memorial built in front of our station bears his name, the only officer in our dept's history to die in the line of duty. I pray that no other brother officers name will have to be added to it.
As it is written in JOHN 15:13-14, "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command." May God Bless your soul and your memory never be forgotten in our community.
