Reflections for Police Officer Jerry Foster Philpot, II
How proud you must be!
I had the pleasure of meeting your beautiful daughter this weekend. Her voice was angelic as she sang "On My Fathers Wings". She is a true inspiration...

Nine years ago this day Officer Jerry Foster Philpot II lost his life in the never ending pursuit of justice. We wish to let his family, friends and fellow officers know that all of our shifts today have been dedicated to his memory, his service and his selfless sacrifice. He is a hero in the truest sense of the word and will always be remembered by us.

Jerry,
I had the pleasure of meeting your wife, Diane, at a Christian Law Enforcement Fellowship dinner, recently. She's doing well and I'm sure you'd be proud of her and how she's carried on for you and your child.
The members of the FBI Agents Association salute you.
Rest In Peace

Jerry, just a quick note to let you know that I think about you and your family from time to time. I hope and pray that they are doing well. You were a good man and friend. You and your sacrafice will never be forgotten.

At the beginning of every shift I supervise, myself and the other officers on shift dedicate the day to the memory of a fallen officer. Today, May 25, 2003 we dedicated the shift to the memory of P.O. Jerry Philpot II who died on this date 8 years ago.
When one law enforcement officer falls, we all stumble for a while, but we will carry on.
Officer Philpot's sacrifice will never be forgotten.
