Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook

Cars racing. Officers responding. Citizens in panic and already on edge. You answered your last call on this earth, Officer Cook, as humbly, as solemnly and as honorably heroic as one can. Dade County and your comrades can certainly be thankful for your rapid response and fabrics of integrity built into humane dignity. The evildoers now with your trusted soul watching had better be careful and look out. Those men and women are charged with a burdensome task of humble proportions. A heart and soul to be revered, though your family will always have that absense to grieve. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Weakness is not always of body and mind. Violence and evil places society in a state of mind sometimes defenseless to stop its rude and wicked advances.Adapting and making the proper adjustments to restore the faith and security of a community surely further those causes of purpose and civility. You were an excellent human being, Officer Cook and no doubt with humble ethics, honesty, respect and integrity. Your posts here in Dade County were dignified and left us and your family grappling for answers. Why? Why so young with a beloved wife, a mother you loved and cared for her welfare. Heaven is perfect where you can never fear harm while patrolling Our Master's pearly gates of gallantry.
