These men are the best of us. They selflessly put themselves in harm’s way so that we don’t have to. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten. There is no greater human love than to lay down one’s life for another!

Rest in Peace Lt Clark! I visited the Officer Down Memorial Page today to leave a reflection for my brother ( Patrick Stephen Runyon) and I came upon the reflection page for Lt Clark. While it is heartbreaking to see all the names and ranks of all of these brave men and women in blue it hit me really hard when I read this one. You see I lost my own brother to gunfire while in the line of duty on the exact day and Year as Lt Clark. The next coincidence is that Lt Clark was from Ohio. My whole family is from Ohio , although my brother Pat was living and working in Nueces County Texas at the time of his death.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Lt Clark. I was pleased to see that although it took many many years, that there was finally a conviction in his senseless death.
Rest In Peace Lt Clark !

I vaguely remember hearing of this case on one of the news channels. It is good that the department never gave up, and that the perpetrator was caught. It is sad, however, that another officer was the alleged perp. I hope justice is served, FINALLY!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 31rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect and you will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace today. Thanks to your sister for sharing in her reflection her devotion to you.
Rest In Peace.
