Though I did not know Officer Brian Elliott personally, his death is a sobering reminder of the risks faced by those who serve. He responded to a call with professionalism and courage, and he gave his life in the line of duty. His service with the Beech Grove Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office reflects a commitment to protecting others. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones. May he be remembered with honour and respect.

This is very sad news. It brings to mind memories of when Officer Tony was killed in 2000(?). I was living there when that happened and I went to his funeral. My condolences to his family, friends, and the Beech Grove Police Department. May this never happen again.
