Rest in peace, Deputy Jordan.

Train accidents are no joke. they are almost always fatal, with crushing, shreding, and tearing of flesh and bones. Not very great. I'm sorry this is the way you had to go, and I hope your family is doing alright.

Heavenly Father, You are Compassionate and Merciful. None of America’s Peace Officers leave home without the fear of not returning at the end of their watch. It is a fear that is lived daily. Unfortunately, the worst does sometimes come to pass, and lives are left shattered. Lord God, bless and keep the hearts and souls of those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. Wipe away the tears from their eyes. Soothe their pain and bind up their emotional wounds through the wounds of Your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Finally, O Lord, if You are willing, have Your warrior servant, Michael the Archangel, the Defender and Protector Against Evil, who successfully defeated Satan and his fallen angels in heavenly battle because of his unwavering faith and courage, according to the Book of Revelation Chapter 12, welcome America’s Fallen Peace Officers into Your Eternal Light and comfort their loved ones and all those left behind who mourn. In Christ Jesus’ mighty and holy Name, and by His Power, Authority, and Sacrificial Blood, I believe and pray. Amen.

God’s Mission for Law Enforcement (Romans 13:3-4 TLB):

“For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose.”

Please find Encouragement, Comfort, Support, and Hope from the following Scripture Verses found in the “Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers - USA” Edition of the Holy Bible – the New Living Translation:

[Jesus taught]: “God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)

[Jesus taught]: “God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)

[Jesus taught]: “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13)

“Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)

“Jesus told her [Martha], “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” (John 11:25)

“And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43)

“Hate evil and love what is good; turn your courts into true halls of justice.” (Amos 5:15a)
