We will never forget you, and the loss your family has endured and will continue to grieve. There was only one of you, for us, and your family, you are irreplaceable. We will not allow your loss to be in vain, or go unnoticed. We will honor you in our duties each day, remembering you and your family as we continue to serve. We know why you took the risk, the same reason we do, to provide for our families. We do care, we will always care for you and your family, with all of our love and endless respect. Rest in peace ...

Lord Jesus, as we watch America’s Peace Officers succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, it becomes difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension. In light of the peace officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and law enforcement agencies. Carry us through this time of trial and tribulation, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. Finally, O Lord, if You are willing, have Your warrior servant, Michael the Archangel, the Defender and Protector Against Evil, who successfully defeated Satan and his fallen angels in heavenly battle because of his unwavering faith and courage, welcome America’s Fallen Peace Officers into Your Eternal Light and comfort their loved ones and all those left behind who mourn. In Your mighty and holy Name, and by Your Authority and Sacrificial Blood, I pray. Amen.

God’s Mission for Law Enforcement:

“The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose.” (Romans 13:4 TLB)

Please find Comfort, Support, and Hope from the following Scripture Verses found in the GOD’S WORD Bible:

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom will I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8),

[Jesus taught]: “Blessed are those who make peace. They will be called God’s children.” (Matthew 5:9),

[Jesus taught]: “Blessed are those who mourn. They will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4),

[Jesus taught]: “The greatest love you can show is to give your life for your friends.” (John 15:13),

“Even though I walk through the dark valley of death, because you are with me, I fear no harm. Your rod and your staff give me courage.” (Psalm 23:4) and

“Jesus said to her [Martha], “I am the one who brings people back to life, and I am life itself. Those who believe in me will live even if they die.” (John 11:25).

Today, we pause to honor the life and service of correctional officer Jeremy Hall who stood watch when others could not. In a profession that is often unseen and underappreciated, they carried out their duty with courage, restraint, and a commitment to keeping others safe. Their work demanded strength, patience, and integrity—qualities they demonstrated day after day, even when the world outside rarely noticed.

Correctional officers walk a difficult line. They face challenges the public seldom understands, and they carry responsibilities that ask more of them than most will ever know. Yet our brother/sister answered that call willingly, serving with pride and purpose. They were a protector, a mentor, a steady presence, and a reminder that true service often happens where eyes never look.

As we reflect on their legacy, we remember not just the uniform they wore, but the person they were—someone who cared deeply, supported their team, and believed in the mission of public safety. Their impact will continue in the lessons they taught, the people they influenced, and the lives they touched along the way.

To their family, friends, and fellow officers: may you find comfort in knowing that their service mattered. Their sacrifice mattered. Their life mattered. We honor them not only for the work they performed, but for the heart and dedication behind it.

We will carry their memory forward with respect, gratitude, and the promise that they will never be forgotten. Their watch has ended, but their legacy remains—strong, steadfast, and enduring.

It's a moment to reflect on the impact they've had on the lives of others, and the legacy they leave behind. I didn’t work directly with Ofc. J. Hall, but within the VADOC, we are one family — and losing one of our own is heartbreaking.

In this line of work, we share more than a badge — we share the risks, the long nights, the unspoken understanding of what it means to walk into danger so others don’t have to.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice, Officer Hall. May you rest in peace, and may those who knew you feel the support and strength of our entire DOC family. We will never stop saying your name Ofc. Hall.
