I had the honor of "field training" Duran during his short lateral to the Enid Police Department. A well seasoned officer with more experience than I even had at the time. Yet, Duran was still humble and willing to go through the motions. We spent the time working as if we were a two man unit and I would forget I was supposed to be "evaluating" him.
Even after being released as a solo officer Duran was always a professional officer day in and out. He'd be one of those Officers you were glad to hear and see show up to back a call because you were in good hands.
He held his family in the highest regards and I'm so sad to see him go. RIP brother.
