As an 80-year-old Christian, Viet Nam Veteran, and civilian retiree, I monitor ODMP to pray for the downed officers, their families and their workmates. Thank you all so much for putting on the uniform every day and putting yourselves in harm's way on behalf of the citizenry, some of whom don't seem to deserve it at times.

This tragedy should NEVER have happened to this beautiful young officer. She had a whole life of hopes and dreams ahead of her. All we can do now is remember to drive safely and live our lives in a manor worthy of her loss. May the Lord be with her family and all of you reading this; and bring each of you HOME SAFELY at the end of your shifts.

Blessed are the Peace Keepers, where there is danger, we do not run away, but on the contrary we run to the danger. We are a rare breed in the Law Enforcement community, but we take it to the people of who we serve.

Rest easy, we got it from here….
