Detective Lemus,
I was shocked to hear of your tragic loss in and explosion at the LASD training facility. I’d like to thank you for your many years of service with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and especially with the Arson and Explosives detail. Victor. You are going to be missed brother. I will always remember your attitude during the Basic Handlers Course for K9, always happy and willing to put the bite suit on no matter what the drill was.
As many times as you went through the class, we joked that you should be a trainer with Mike.
I almost texted you after I heard of the deaths at the training center, knowing K9 was part of SEB. I figured you would not be involved because I didn’t hear anything about K9. I didn’t know you left K9 and went to Arson Detail.
You are going to missed always man. The few weeks I knew you from the handlers class a couple years ago made an impression on all of us.
I know that your agency is going to be hurting.
Your family will be strong and push though, they will be in my thoughts.
Rest Easy, till we meet again.
