Detective Eklund,

I was shocked to hear of your tragic loss in and explosion at the LASD training facility. I’d like to thank you for your many years of service with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and especially with the Arson and Explosives detail. Your courageous and selfless dedication to duty will not be forgotten. Rest in peace. I will pray for your friends, loved ones, colleagues, and of course, for your wife Jessica Eklund, and your seven children.
