Reflections for Police Officer Gabriel Facio

Hello Gabriel, it’s been a worst day when one man held him accountable for a homicide charge that is bringing the endure situation between the distance of El Paso and Apache Junction communities. It was a hard time when we thought about the beautiful life like you were a best duty for being the positive memories with police officers and your family. I was there with you at the funeral in El Paso, Texas, and I placed the vase of roses for you on top of a stage. My condolences to you as you have called to heaven, and it’s hard to say goodbye with your family and citizens still needing you and not letting go of them, especially a god is there for you in peace.

I wish my father and his mother and father (my grandma and grandpa) would be see me again in the heaven for a long time of being an alive son (grandson). I missed my father most of times since he was killed in the line of duty for his illness on 2009.

Thank you for your services and wish you the best! Never forgotten and forever remember.

I did not have the honor of knowing Officer Facio personally, but as a fellow veteran, I carry deep respect for those who serve—both in uniform and in the community. His courage and sacrifice will not be forgotten. My heart is with his family, his department, and all who loved him. Rest easy, brother. You served with honor.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

On behalf of the EPPD, he went forward with no fear. He was a Warrior, and Warriors aren't meant to retire. Which means he's still here, the greatest of us, guiding us in eternity.

Deeply saddening that it takes losing a good man like Ofc Facio to show the less informed among us what a terribly dangerous role these officers - even patrol and traffic - willing submit to every day. Ride along, face that danger in REAL terms as they do, experience it, then and only then can you talk of wanting to "defund" and de-protect out vital police such as Ofc Facio. But of course those God-fearing and truly intelligent among us already know how facile such a position is. Walk with God Officer Facio, and may the evil that took him from us walk in opposite terms.

Officer Facio, a police officer, should be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived! A brave man has left to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you for your more than 3 years of commitment to law enforcement, your family, and the Apache Junction Bloomfield Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace, Brother!

RIP Officer Facio. Your family will be in my family’s prayers. There are no words that are adequate at times like this, but I know that there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for another-John 15:13.
