Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Timothy Wayne Stanley Johns
Tim was a light in Tuscaloosa County. Never without a smile and always willing to make anyone's day better. Tim was truly a selfless person. I'll never forget him always cracking a joke to lighten the mood.
Tim will be missed by many and his impact will last a lifetime.

Tim wasn’t just a colleague; he was a great friend, always quick with a joke and always there to listen when you needed it most. His sense of humor and kindness made those rough work days manageable.
Some of my favorite memories with Tim are from the times we worked the football games together. Tim’s laughter and laid-back nature always made those long days something to look forward to.
Tim, you will be missed more than words can say. Thank you for the laughs, the listening ear, and the friendship. Rest easy, my friend.

I remember that Tim had a box he created for the back of his patrol vehicle. One year when we were at training together, he gifted me with that very same box for extra storage. Tim was just a giving person who stayed optimistic in every situation. Thank you Tim!

Tim was an outstanding deputy, and an even better friend to me. I miss seeing him playing with my K9 partner and acting like a little kid with him. I miss hearing his stories of all the crazy scenarios he’s been in, he always had a good one to share. I miss you buddy, and so many more do to. Rest easy friend, we have the watch from here.

Remembering Tim is not just about the badge he wore, but the heart he carried. He was a true friend, always ready with a smile and a helping hand, and a dedicated Deputy who put the safety of others above his own. I will miss your sense of humor and your willingness to help others at the drop of a hat. Rest easy brother.

I worked with Tim for almost 15 years. I can’t recall a day where he wasn’t smiling and optimistic about everything the day had presented, but that was the kind of guy he was. Tim was more than a good Deputy, he was a great man. I enjoyed my time working and training with him and he will be sorely missed. We will see him again one day.

Lord our God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Deputy Sheriff Timothy W. S. Johns, of the Tuscaloosa County AL Sheriff's Office, was suddenly and violently taken from us in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and comrades by the power and protection of the cross. I ask this through Christ Jesus, our Lord, and by His Holy Name and Authority, I pray. Amen.

Tim was a great deputy and friend to many. During his career, he was instrumental in training many fellow deputies while serving as an FTO. In the later part of his career, Tim decided to take on the role of SRO and with a servant’s heart, mentored many young people. He was kind, compassionate, and loyal, not only to the citizens of Tuscaloosa County but, to his country as well. Tim loved his family and loved those who served with him as family. Tim’s loss has created a void in so many that will be hard to fill. Rest easy brother. We have the watch now.
