Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension because we are a people greatly divided politically. In light of the American Peace Officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and law enforcement departments and agencies. Lord Jesus, carry us through this time of reckless violence and strife, that through our struggles, trials, and tribulations, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. I m so devastated by this. I didn’t know Jeremy well but had the extraordinarily honor of spending five hours with him on the road for a ride along on 8/30/2023 for the Roswell Police Civilian Police Academy. It was one of the finest nights I’ve ever had. I strongly considered looking into whether I could join his ranks because of the experience.

The next day,I sent the following email
to our contact for the academy:

Good afternoon *****,

I just wanted to drop a short note to say that my ride-along shift last night with Jeremy Labonte was incredible. He couldn't have been more professional, gracious, and impressive in the execution of his duties. He took the time to explain numerous facets of how policing traffic techniques, communications, and technology work all while balancing his own workload. It was truly an honor I will not forget to sit along and see this very complex work and, although I'm sure your team and command staff already know it, he is a real credit to your agency.
