Lieutenant Meadows, a police officer should be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived! A brave man has left to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you for your military and 33 years of commitment to law enforcement, your family, and the Irondale Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace, Brother!

Very sad to hear of the loss of Lt. Meadows and condolences to his family, co-workers and friends. He is the definition of loyalty to his community, that after 30-years of service he was still looking for opportunities to help those in need, in this case putting out cones to protect those on-scene. Thank you for your dedication to your community and country.

Lt. Meadows served us all in his calling for over 30 years, for his service I am eternally Grateful. He put himself between us and danger. My heart is broken to hear of this tragedy. Lord we ask You to ease minds and calm hearts during this time and the days to come for his Wife, Children, Grandchildren, Family, Fellow Officers and Friends. Our words are a feeble attempt to comfort. Thank You Family for allowing him to commit to his calling. This Blue Line is very thin. God Bless All!!!
