Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

I had the honor of meeting Josh and interviewing him in 2020 for the Traumas of Law Enforcement class in Bozeman, MT. He was a panelist on our survivor panel, representing the perspective of an adult child of a fallen officer. Seeing Josh following his dad's path into law enforcement is a source of pride and strength. Seeing that Josh laid down his life, as did his dad, well, there are no words. I honor Josh's faithful service and mourn his loss. Prayers for the Briese family and all who knew both men.

Rest in peace, Joshua, you were so unnecessarily ripped from our lives today.
Although I only worked with you for a short time in the jail before we both went sworn, I will cherish the times we were assigned to the same housing units together.
