Reflections for Police Officer Joshua Eyer

I am sad to learn of the passing of a Brother and Hero in Police Officer Joshua Eyer. I know our Heavenly Father has welcomed him home into his loving arms where he will now patrol the Golden Highways of Heaven. May the Lord deliver Blessings, Comfort and Peace to his Family, Friends and all Members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, North Carolina.

Lord Jesus, as we watch America's Peace Officers succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, it becomes difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension. In light of the American Peace Officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and law enforcement agencies. Carry us through this time of strife, O Lord, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy Name, and by Your authority, I pray. Amen.

"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his [her] life for his [her] friends." [John 15: 13 ESV]

God rest your soul, Officer Eyer. May your family, friends, colleagues, and community find the strength and resolve to carry on in your physical absence and continue to spread the goodness to which you were so selflessly committed. You were among the best humanity has to offer. Your dedication to service and your ultimate sacrifice shall not be forgotten.
